Yes, I have been I little busy little beaver....creating LOTS of LO's for upcoming new releases of products. (Can't display them until they come out though)

This weekend we are heading up north for the last weekend. (so sad) But, this weekend is a festival at the Winery in Alex. Yes, lots of good times, watching the grape stomp and drinking yummy wine.

There are so many challenges at ScrapMatters that I do... and I love them!! Becuase, it makes you think about things that you normally wouldn't normally think is important. Labor Day Weekend

The last weekend of summer. Have fun all of you moms sending kids off to school! Mine will be going on Tuesday. But for now, we'll have one last weekend of summer. Hopefully the weekend will cooperate for us to go to the beach a few more times!

Booked our vacation!!

Finally, finally... we are planning our first vacation!! (without other family members that is) :) We booked a great vaca to Walt Disney World for Jan '09 and we are planning on surprise the kids at Christmas time. OH, SO excited!!! Can wait to see the kids faces as they soak in all of the "magic of Disney" Only 4 1/2 more months now.

Last week of summer is here...

We just got back from Wisconsin visiting with Aaron's family. It was very good times. We spent time at the lake, boating and swimming. The kids had LOTS of 4-wheel riding with Grandpa Red. They were very sad to go.

Now we are on to the last week of summer. I made Sophie a backpack tag for school (since she is riding the bus)

Summer Almost Over...

I can't believe that summer is almost over. One more week until BOTH Sophie and Gabe start school. What am I going to do. Boo hoo.... Well, it might be nice right away to have a little time to myself; but I'm sure that will get old fast. Well, I am going to get one go field trip in next week with them before school starts...what should I do?

Been sick...

Most of you know that I've been sick for while now... about 3 1/2weeks now. Yep, still have that crazy tiredness and hacking cough. I just can't seem to get over this. Went to the doctor AGAIN they gave me stronger meds, an inhaler and I got to sit in LABS for over an hour to take a chest xray that I never got too (I eventually had to leave to get Sophie to an appt) Anyways, here are a few layouts I've done over the past few days (in between coughing). Good thing they aren't paper layouts! HA!

Family

I just LOVE my family. Sometimes I just need to say it outloud! We had the BEST time yesterday at Valleyfair, and the kids were SO delightful! They had no meltdowns, no moments of tiredness...they just plain old enjoyed themselves, which in turn makes me enjoy them ALL the more!

Going to ...Valleyfair!

I am so excited! I have been begging Aaron to go to Valleyfair for the last two years! He broke down and got me tickets for my birthday... so we are heading there tommorrow!! YAY! Can't wait! Now it totally better be 85 and sunny!


This was our summer family picture last year. I just realized I haven't takin any this year. Boo hoo, no family shots or shot of the kids. Bummer.

Ready 2 Learn? Lets make pictures better...

I always thought you have to take AMAZING pictures to be a good photographer. And although my photography skills are not that bad, PHOTOSHOP is an absolute dream! It is SO easy to make horribly dark pictures better. Almost all of them, including the ones that my hubbie, Aaron takes. HA! Here is an example of one that was rescued:

Open your picture. Then make a duplicate copy in your layers palette by right clicking on the layer of the photo, then select, duplicate layer. Then choose the top layer of the photo and move up to the scroll down, select SCREEN. Do this once or twice till your photo is amazingly lightened. Then continue with your color correcting. EASY, right?

Getting on with REAL Life!!

Trying to get back in the swing of things since being back. It still seems crazy though. I started shopping for fall clothes for the kids and we registered Sophie for school today. A 1'ST GRADER!! Ahh, so weird.

Things have been busy scrapping of course. There is a grand re-opening at ScrapMatters. So this week will be a crazy scrapping week. Which is good, more pictures done and stored away!

Here are a few that I've done recently:

I have to tell the story behind this one: We just got up north and we were walking on the shoreline. DH and the kids were picking stones to 'skip rocks'. Well my DD slipped on the slippery rocks and fell in. She was SO upset that she thought she was bad and ran off... After I calmed her down and told her it was an accident I decide since she was wet already, her and her brother might as well go swimming. So I know this is going to forever be a cherished memory. "the time when they got to swim in their clothes'
